presidentially starstruck

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

star.jpgSo our client invited us for a deluxe dinner tonight, at Restaurant George, which is on the top of the Pompidou Center. We had a wonderful meal, and I held myself back from ordering the 100 euro caviar. The restaurant has a great view of the city, and we can watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle every hour while we enjoyed the deliciousness.

Then, while we were eating dessert, in walks none other than Bill Clinton. My boss kept saying his name, but none of us could understand why he was saying that, until he discreetly pointed and said “your President.”

Monsieur Clinton was standing right next to our table! A few people came up to him to talk to him, and although I’m rarely starstruck, I stared blankly, for this was, after all, my first presidential sighting. You could clearly see his charisma as he chatted with some people, all under the careful watch of the secret service agents stationed at the doors.

‘Twas a lovely night in Paris, all in all.
